CrossFit Games 2021 have arrived and many CrossFit Games 2021 competitors are thrilled. Besides the usual competitions like the men's, women's events will also take place. The competition for women

The swim event was the start of the women's division at the 2021 Crossfit Games. Jonne Koski and Tia-Clair Toomey Orr won the first event. Koski won the overall competition after maintaining her lead all the way. Tall and Eramo O'Connell finished second and third, respectively. It was the first Games for women, and the women's side hoped to complete the podium.

The women's competition is filled with top-level athletes. The field features nine athletes, including a 19 year-old Australian powerhouse who won this competition last year. Kara Saunders from Australia, who placed second in Australia and 11th globally in 2020 are other contenders. Andrea Nisler, a rising star who competed for the team division in 2018, finished third in America and fifteenth overall in 2020. Aside from these athletes, the Women’s competition will also include a newcomer, Sara Sigmundsdottir, an Icelandan competitor, who won first place at the World Crossfit Games earlier.

Pegboard contest

Pegboard was an original feature at Crossfit Games 2021. It was added to Crossfit Games' summer Olympic program alongside double-unders & dumbbell overhead Squats. Toomey-Orr set the record for most wins in a single Games event with 30. Sager won Event 11 for the men and took home his third Games victory. There were several tie in the contest but Toomey Orr's dominance was too strong to stop him winning.

CrossFit Games are a competition where athletes focus on ten skills that improve their physical fitness: speed, agility, cardiovascular endurance, strength and flexibility. Pegboard tests the grip strength and coordination of competitors. The athletes compete on a scale by holding two wooden pegs between their hands. After completing the Pegboard, the competition was intense and athletes felt a sense of accomplishment.


Cutting system

CrossFit Games has a new cutting system for individual competition. The cuts are not as severe as those used in past Games but they are still very different. Because the competition is made up of 15 events, a cut to 30 athletes after the seventh or eighth event is very likely. The question is: How will CrossFit adjust points after cuts? The scoring table used in the 2019 games was nearly identical to the one used in 2021, so it's likely that this will continue to be the case.

The CrossFit Games' largest ever field, consisting of 236 athletes this year, is the largest ever. Major cuts are made at the six initial events. The field is then reduced to 75 athletes. The top 30 then compete in a sprint couplet to determine the top ten. From there, the top 20 athletes compete in the remaining six events. Castro's system was criticised by veteran Games participants, who felt that the cuts were too significant.

Reebok equipment

Reebok announces new CrossFit Games clothing, shoes and other equipment. The new shoes are the Nano X1. They are made to meet multiple fitness needs. Reebok describes this shoe as the "shoe of fitness", but it actually feels more like an ordinary training shoe. DuPont's Kevlar, which promotes durability, breathability, and strength, is the shoe's upper. The shoes' responsiveness is enhanced thanks to the RopePro tech and the firm midsole.

Reebok's contract with CrossFit will end at the end of 2020, and the Games will be without a title sponsor. Reebok sponsored the Games for more a decade. Now, it is obvious that the company will lessen its involvement. The company won't refer to itself as "Reebok crossfit games" anymore.
